A short trip to Ooty & a night stay at Coonoor

Last 11.6.17 Sunday we travelled to Ooty & visited Govt botanical garden.Even though monsoon had started, fortunately we were not affected by rain.Only slight rain was there. In the evening we returned to Coonoor & stayed at a modified home( Lodge)  at Pleasant road nearby Railway station.Rooms were clean ,Bathroom with solar combined with eclectic heaters were well maintained. Our daughter's family, son's family including us  stayed in 3 rooms.Car parking is also there & separate bathroom facilities  for drivers. In the night, lodge manager assured us lighting of a camp fire by 7.30pm,if we returned earlier after taking dinner in a near by Veg.hotel.We returned by 8 pm .The servant maid brought firewood & lighted them ( around 5 feet dia camp fire).Chairs were placed   close to the fire in a circle,My grand son & grand daughter  and all of us enjoyed it while temp .was below 22deg C at that time. There is no need for Ac there. In the lodge they provide both veg & non veg if we inform them in advance,One local cook ( lady) prepares the food .Separate dining hall is there. In the morning after taking B.fast there, we left for Salem .One should stay there to enjoy the cool climate. Some of the photos clicked there in Ooty  botanical garden - Govt, just  posted here .
