Our six months are half a day for Angels.Another significant thing is, Makara Sankaranthi period Planet Sun moves from South towards North which is called "Uthrayanana Punya kalam ".The importance of this period is told in Bhagavad Gita By Sri Krishna Himself to all of us through Arjuna.
