Balloon vine plant with the balloon fruit in light yellow color
Dosa batter before fermenting
1. Half kg idly rice
2.Two cups of balloon vine leaves ( packed )
3.Toor dal, Urad dal, Medhi seeds ( each one tea spoon )
4. Required qty of salt
Soak the idly rice, toor dal, urad dal, medhi seeds in water for 3 hrs in a vessel
Pick the balloon leaves , leaving the stalk. Clean the leaves with water.
Wash the soaked rice with dals & medhi seeds.Filter the water.
Grind the leaves in a mixie slightly
Top the soaked rice dalls & medhi seeds in the grinder . Pour the ground balloon vine leaves over rice.. Add the required qty of salt.
Grind it well adding required qty of water. Pour the batter into a vessel. Allow it to ferment for 10- 12 hrs.
